Here i would like to share a knowledge of my expertise related to Microsoft Licensing to maintain the compliance of the organization. It also have technological advantages.
Microsoft Licensing is not easy as the other software licensing. you will find various license option in the market but before choosing from that one you need to understand that in depth.
Microsoft Licensing is available in following options.
1. OEM - License Policy for the ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER. (In layman language when you buy your pc that is preload from your vender of laptop or desktop and sticker is affixed with the desktop or laptop.
Benefits - You don't have to purchase the license separately or pay separately for the OS license.
Limitation:- its non transferable if your hard disk crash or you bought new machine. If you remove the sticker then your license expired.
2. Paper License :- Very few people understand the Paper License. For Paper License agreement Minimum 5 Licenses are required.
Benefits- Its easy to manage
3. Retail Pack - This license is like OEM license but it can be installed after purchasing the system and the license pack is available with manual and license key. this license use for less then 5 licenses requirement.
